Wine Tasting at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival

Wine tasting will again be a feature of the Faire, with Madame Ghislaine de Rouen (she's FRENCH, you know!) leading novice tasters and experienced connoisseurs through a tasting of 8 premium wines, accompanied by fruit, cheese and bread, all for $5005 a person, including admission to the Faire and a souvenir glass.

As always, Madame serves outstanding and unusual wines, including a sparkling wine to start, three whites, three reds and a dessert wine or spirit. And, as always, there’s a little something extra at the end!

For 2007 the following wine tastings took place, with most being sold out!

November 3 and 4 – Old World Wines, featuring Spanish wines
November 10 and 11 – Old World Wines, featuring Italian wines
November 17 and 18 – Old World Wines, featuring French wines
November 24 and 25 – New World Wines, featuring American Wines
December 1 and 2 – New World Wines, featuring Australian and New Zealand Wines
December 8 and 9 – Best of the Season – what our guests like the best all year!

Our 2008 Wine Tasting schedule will be available after July 1, 2008.

All tasting will include special guest performances by faire favorites such as Vince Conaway, Owain Phyfe and others. This wine tasting will begin at 3:30pm and last approximately 90 minutes.
